Financial

Participating congregations are asked to make an annual gift to support the mission and ministry of the companion ILAG congregation.

Many people support the ILAG with monthly offerings.  To download a form to enroll in Simply Giving, please click here.

Prayer

Congregations and individuals are encouraged to pray for:

• leaders of the ILAG,
• all Guatemalan congregations,
• congregational pastors and lay evangelists,
• women's ministry,
• youth ministry,
• two elementary schools

Communications

Regular contact with your companion ILAG congregation will further strengthen the relationship and might include the following:

• Send your church newsletter so the ILAG congregation can learn about your ministry and pray for you,
• Send personal letters,
• Send pictures of your church and congregational life,
• Send Sunday School artwork or greetings from congregational members,
• Send a copy of your latest pictoral directory so they can see the faces of your congregation and learn about your history.

Communications should be directed to the Lutheran Center, which will forward the communication to the companion congregation.

Visits

Regular visits to a companion congregation are encouraged and will strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and Guatemalan congregations.  Trips can be taken at almost any time of the year.  Trips need to be coordinated with the ILGA office.

 An 8-minute DVD, The History and Hopes of the Lutheran Church in Guatemala, is available and provides an overview of the ILAG.
